פיתקא דהזמנא

(דִּסְקָא) דִּיסְקָא m. (δίσχος) disc (always used in the sense of tabula, tabella), 1) tablet.Pl. דִּיסְקֵי. Men.40a ליכתביה אד׳ (Rashi אדיסקי׳, Ms. R. 2 a. K. אר׳) let it be published on public tablets (inscriptions; comment.: in official letters from Palestine to Babylon, v. infra). 2) official document, letter. B. Kam. 112b נקיט ד׳ מב״דוכ׳ (M. M. ריסקא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) he held a letter from the Supreme Court (authorizing him to take depositions of witnesses). Kidd70a ד׳ דזמינותא Ar.
